1: How fast is your connection? Top

Our OC-3 backbone connection has a 155.52 Mbps transfer rate. Keep in mind that Networksource is multi-homed network (using Cisco Networking Gear) with connections that range from DS3 to OC48 through Time Warner, SBC and Allegiance.

2: What DNS servers do I use for hosting transfer? Top

Primary DNS: ns1.geodns.net

Secondary DNS: ns2.geodns.net

We can also help you using your existing registrant if they support DNS editing.  example: (register.com, godaddy.com, network solutions, etc..)

3: Can I use the DNS servers of my registrant like Register.com or Godaddy.com? Top

Yes, we encourage you to use the DNS servers from these companies.  This eliminates a lot of the delays typically associated with transferring host providers.  You can point your IP of your domain to 66.93.0.34, and be sure to set up an alias for your mail and point your mail to 66.93.0.38.  If you need more specific information see DNS configuration.

4: What do I use for my Mail servers in my email software? Top

Our pop server is: pop.networksource.com

If you are using one of our dialups the SMTP server is: smtp.safepages.com

If you are using us a host provider you may use smtp.networksource.com, please note that some ISPs require you to use their SMTP server; ex: Earthlink, Aol, etc…

5: Can I check my email via the web? Top

Yes, you can use http://www.networksource.com/mail.  Enter your full email address and password to access your mailbox.

6: What protocols do we support with our email service? Top

8: Can I have an Email automatically sent to users when I am out of town? Top

Yes, if you log into the web mail interface at http://www.networksource.com/mail you can go to the options and setup an auto responder, change your password, and much more.

9: I have not given my email address to a lot of people, how come I am receiving so much SPAM? Top

Unfortunately spammers can find your email easy if you have a simple email address such as; bill@domain.com or sandy@domain.com.  It is recommended that you use an email address that cannot be guessed for example; billsmith@domain.com or sandy.smith@domain.com.

10: What is MultiPOP? Top
MultiPOP allows you to download POP3 mail from any other POP3 accounts you may have and automatically inserted into your email box.  You can access this by going into Webmail and clicking on the options.

We can turn off SPAM filtering for your whole domain, but not just 1 account.  To turn off SPAM filtering for your entire domain please create a request support ticket
